Experienced TIG welder

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The TIG Welder will be responsible for performing welding operations on various metal components, ensuring high-quality welds and adherence to specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform TIG welding operations on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including welding torches, gas cylinders, and welding machines.
  • Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding, ensuring proper fit-up and alignment of components.
  • Monitor welding parameters and adjust settings as needed to ensure proper penetration, fusion, and bead appearance.
  • Inspect welded joints for defects and perform necessary repairs or rework as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work area and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in TIG welding techniques, including welding of stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Experience with welding equipment setup and operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Welding certification or relevant training.
  • Experience with other welding processes, such as MIG or Stick welding.
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment.
